He shot J.R. and all…

Read the wee story before the audio clip (At bottom).

This happened around about March 2006.
I emailed the thing below to everyone I knew, back then, but nothing wrong with giving it to the world now.

The story … for the benefit of those not present!

One fateful night a young group of individuals travel down to BBC Broadcasting House for a recording of a topic radio show. The idea behind said show is that members of the audience write down a question, and good questions get asked to the panel by said member of said audience.
The format of each question is “who do you blame for. . . ?” and you add a topical topic.

So anyhooo . . . one member of the audience, a Mr. D.McKay, had read the Daily Mirror that day, and had read an article on a “new” DALLAS movie which was to be made.
So Mr. McKay decides to write down the question “who do you blame for . . .the new DALLAS movie?”

Before he was about to hand the piece of paper with the question “who do you blame for . . .the new DALLAS movie?” up, his ‘board’, Miss A.Mulholland (edit: they are
since no more… good), decided to change the name of Mr. McKay on said piece of paper, and change it to the name of “Factor”, Mr. C.Mackle, with out said Factor’s knowledge!

Anyhooo . . . we took our seats in the studio and the producers were seeking out question people. The last name called out was that of Mr.Mackle…
Now, as we all know, Mr. Mackle is one cool, relaxed character…ahem…now, as we all know, Mr. Mackle is one serious character, who is not keen of large groups of people focusing their attention on his factoring self… but somehow manages to draw attention to himself from these large groups!

So the nice kind producer lady informed Mr.Mackle of his duty of asking the question “who do you blame for . . .the new DALLAS movie?”
Straight away Mr. Mackle said, in one serious, monotone, voice, “No! Not doing it!” and some of the audience in the rows around him were looking around too see what the
fuss was… and more importantly – who was causing the fuss!!!
Mr. Mackle wouldn’t back down, trying to argue that he hadn’t written the question!
But the nice producer lady also wouldn’t back down… she was a radio producer at the BBC for fuck sake!! She always gets her way!!

As this was going on more and more people became curious to the fuss that was being caused anyway.. Mr.Mackle was finally convinced to do it by the nice producer lady, remember kids to ask the question “who do you blame for . . .the new DALLAS movie?”

But was Mr.Mackle happy? No sir!!

Mr.Mackle was then given the piece of paper with the question “who do you blame for . . .the new DALLAS movie?” so when it was his turn to ask the question “who do you blame for . . .the new DALLAS movie?” all he had to do was read of the piece of paper “who do you blame for . . .the new DALLAS movie?” then the question “who do you blame for. . .the new DALLAS movie?” Would be put to the panel

The show was started… Mr.Mackle was nervous the whole way through the show, as he didn’t want to ask the question “who do you blame for . . .the new DALLAS movie?”
Anyhooo it came to his turn.. Already some people were like nudging each other, as the fuss makerwas about to ask the question “who do you blame for. . .the new DALLAS movie?”
So Factor took the mic.. to ask the question “who do you blame for . . .the new DALLAS movie?”,
which would then lead the panel to talk about the new DALLAS movie, and some banter about the DALLAS TV show i.e. some characters in DALLAS, some stories from DALLAS, and the main theme’s behind DALLAS…

Said question and answer can be found here.

Have I emphasised the point that the question was about DALLAS?
